Meditation and transcendent knowledge
Description
Start: Thursday, April 17 at 6:00 PM
Concluding Session: Monday, April 21 at 10:00 AM
Directed by Lopön Thrinle Tenzin
The Buddha Shakyamuni said « There is no meditation without transcendent knowledge, and there is no transcendent knowledge without meditation ». This retreat will enable us to deepen our study, reflection and meditation in relation to this essential quote from the Buddha. How is this true for meditation and for knowledge? But it is above all through the experience of meditation that we will be able to approach the profound understanding of this assertion, at a time when meditation and knowledge are often reduced to some of their most superficial aspects... The path of Buddhist meditation is very demanding, but, when followed assiduously, it brings so much joy and infinite satisfaction that altruism, love and compassion flow naturally and eff ortlessly from it.
